Hi, I’m Lisa! As a PhD candidate in Leadership with a concentration in Organization Development, my academic work explores cross-cultural exchange and leadership development, with a particular focus on how students and rural entrepreneurs engage in interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.

As a research assistant for the past four years, I have conducted fieldwork in Greenland and Maine, published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented research at global academic conferences. My scholarship aims to understand the dynamics of learning, innovation, and leadership development that emerge when diverse cultural perspectives intersect in global educational and rural entrepreneurial contexts.

I hold a Master’s degree in Leadership Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Summa Cum Laude) and expect to complete my doctoral studies in March of 2026.

My academic work is enriched by 16+ years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership, 12+ years of coaching and consulting entrepreneurs, and 10+ years of nonprofit business development, program management, and governance experience. I taught adult education courses for four years and have delivered guest lectures on a variety of topics. I also facilitate workshops on leadership, entrepreneurship, and self-development, drawing on academic theory and practical experience from corporate leadership, nonprofit development, and interdisciplinary project management roles.
